Child Care Resource & Referral, Inc. has the following positions open for its 2009-2010 Head Start Program Year.
Center Based Teacher
This is a full-time position and is responsible for the classroom and implementing curriculum based on knowledge of families’ and children’s needs and interests. This position requires an AA or BA in Early Childhood.
Center Based Home Visitor
This position works with preschool children and parents in the home and in a weekly group setting. The Home Visitor will share ideas and model developmentally appropriate activities in the home environment. The Home Visitor and parent will discuss each child's individual growth and development. This position requires an AA or degree in Child Development/Family/Social and/or equivalent experience and education.
Early Childhood Special Education Teacher
This is a full-time position working with children and parents in the home and in a group setting. The focus is to promote the parent as the primary teacher of his/her own children. This position requires an Associate’s or degree (A.A.) in Child Development/Family/Social and/or equivalent experience and education.
In each of these positions, the focus is to promote the parent as the primary teacher of his/her own children. Experience working with low-income and diverse populations and pre-school age children and families is preferred. The ideal candidates will be team players who support the Head Start philosophy of partnering with families. Head Start parents are encouraged to apply and will be given preference based on qualifications.
